Mushroom Stroganoff (i'll add the beef variety)

Is there anything better than salty, creamy, mushroomy and otherwise delectable stroganoff? I think no *snicker*

This is a ridiculously easy recipe and there are several variations.

This is what i did this time around.

Ingredients:
1 can cream of GOLDEN mushroom soup
1/2 -3/4 can of water
about 1/4- 1/2 cup worchestshire sauce
1/4-1/2 diced onion
1 can sliced mushrooms, drained and rinsed
about 1/2 cup sour cream, or to taste

**for the meat eaters, 1 lb stew meat

Method:
Add everything but the sour cream to the crock pot. turn on low and cook 6-10 hours (if on high the time is effectively reduced by about half).
When you get home or about 20 minutes before eating spoon in sour cream and stir. Adding more to taste if necessary.

serve over warm toast or noodles, we opted for warm toast

Another variation is to use cream cheese instead of sour cream
Another is to use regular cream of mushroom, with a "Stroganoff seasoning packet"- which although saltier we really like

I of course was in too much of a hurry to get to work to take prep pictures, (sorry)..
