London Broil with Steak Sauce Gravy

So recently I discovered that magic of purchasing used books from Barnes and Noble. I can pay seriously GOOD prices (anywhere fro .01-brand new price) and get seriously good quality books, anyhow I ended up with "Rachel Ray 30- minute GET REAL meals"

1 Shoulder Steak - also sold as "London Broil"
1 TBS Worcestershire Sauce
Salt and Pepper

2 TBS butter
1 Shallot, diced
2 TBS flour (use arrow root powder to make it GF)
2 cups beef broth
1/4 cup steak sauce

Method:
MEAT
Preheat your broiler and move your top rack to the very top setting.
Brush steak with Worcestershire sauce and then sprinkle with salt and pepper

Broil 6 minutes per side, then let stand for 5 minutes under a foil tent

Cut meat at a diagonal, against the grain, super thin - the thinner the better

Gravy
In a skillet or sauce pan heat butter, add shallot and cook until tenderizing, add flour and whisk. Stir in broth, bring to a boil and boil about 2 minutes, then add steak sauce.

We served this with Smashed Cheesy Cauli, and sauteed spinach

  1. Well Joe & I did get to try the london broil, smashed cheesy cauliflower, & and some scrumptious, garden fresh string beans. H even gave us the left-overs, and we enjoyed them for two more dinners. Sooooo good! The london broil just about melted in your mouth. Loved it all! Yum!
