I tried these in the oven too and found the microwave really did best.
Take a potato, wash it. Slice it as thin as possible
Place the cut potato on a parchment lined dish for the microwave in a single layer, sprinkle with salt. Cook until it just begins to form brown spots (anywhere from 4-10 minutes). Allow to sit one minute and then cook a few minutes more (If it gets to brown YUCK).
We (myself and three others) really enjoyed these. They were chewy and crunchy all at the same time. True flavor and fast. I will make these whenever I crave potato chips, I feel WAY better about them.
** we even dipped them in cider vinegar prior to cooking for a "salt and vinegar variety)
