This weeks menu

WOW I just noticed that I never had a chance to post my menu or shopping list for this week!
Now as a  warning, the week isn't the healthiest, however it was ridiculously cheap shopping wise, which was the goal since I had to make a cost-co run for liquids for the man (and we all know how expensive cost-co gets in a hurry).

Sunday: baked potato with steamed veggies (zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) with home baked rolls (1/2 whole wheat) - vegetarian
the Omni had roast

Monday: home made (or semi home made) macaroni and cheese. (Not everyones mac and cheese so if you don't mind a serious cheese OD check out the recipe!) along with left over home baked rolls - vegetarian

Tuesday: Burritos/tacos - vegetarian, omni

Wednesday: Pizza casserole - vegetarian

Thursday: Vegan Chili (I think)

Shopping list
Produce                                          Other                                                Omni
1 tomato                                          tortillas (his and hers *snicker)            1 lb hamburger
1 onion                                            hummus                                              1 roast
1 green bell pepper                          hemp milk
1 carrot (large)                                mozzarella cheese
4 kiwi fruit                                       Meatless ground
2 plums
2 apples
1 head lettuce
1 zucchini

The total for the above at the CO-OP was $49. Granted I did have a lot of the ingredients needed at home. Still had I needed to purchase "everything" to make the above it would have come to right around $100.

Cost Co (A.K.A where I stock up on drinks for the man)
2 cases Gatorade
1 case sprite
1 case V8 fusion
4 6 packs of his fav. muffins
**oops not on my list! but seriously how could I resist?**
1 tin cougar gold cheese

Sadly the total for Cost-co was $100 but really there are 60 Gatorade, 32 sprites, 32 V8's and 24 muffins which should last a while =)

  1. Oooh, yum. I want baked potatoes with steamed veggies! Sounds so good. And it seems the weather has announced chili-making season is officially here, so we'll probably be having some of that, too.

Oh, and I can't remember the last time I spent ONLY $100 at Costco. My run-of-the-mill ringup is over $250! Yowza. ;)

    Hugs!
