Beef Bone Broth

Grass fed beef is so yummy, I will admit it can be a touch gamey, but I think that term should be used lightly, as it's not a gamey taste so much as something all exclusively grass fed animals taste like.

4 lbs soup bones (meaty and marrow)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (to draw the good for you minerals from the bones)
water to cover
1 onion, unpeeled chopped
3 celery hunks, leaves and all
3 cloves garlic, unpeeled, smushed
2 carrots, coarse chopped
2 bay leaves
1 tsp+ black peppercorns
1 handful cilantro
3 green onions

Most of these are added cause it's exactly what I had on hand for it.

Preheat the oven to 350* (I did this cause my bones were VERY meaty)
Bake the meaty bones until they begin to brown (about 30 minutes?)
Toss into the slow cooker, cover with vinegar and cold water and let sit 1 hr.
Toss in all other ingredients and slow cook on low for 6-16 hours. I always do it overnight.

When done, drain off stock, separate meat and toss the veggies and bones. (My dog is VERY happy)

Viola! I didn't take any pictures cause I immediately turned it into soup in the same crock pot!
